Hello Fellow Owners,
Since my last update several things have transpired. At the November Board of Directors (BOD) meeting the BOD officially dismissed Randy Nylen. Prior to his dismissal Randy had been placed on paid administrative leave for several weeks. The BOD is seeking to employ a new manager and a search committee has been formed.
In the interim, Jo Moore has agreed to accept the role of Acting Manager. In this interim Jo has done an exceptional job and has put JRC back on track with the planned improvements.
For those who have not been to JRC recently, new Hardie Board siding is being installed and painted. This project is expected to be completed by late December and is proceeding close to schedule. There have been a few minor bumps, but all have been resolved. Reports by owners regarding JRCs updated look have been very positive. We are anticipating that the new siding will not only appear as an improvement, but will also enhance our budgetary obligations by decreasing the amount we need to assign to the exterior reserve account.
The interior of all units have been painted. The new furniture blends nicely with the color scheme. The BOD is considering replacing the lamps on the tables in the living room, which many owners have reported do not provide sufficient light, and the lighting over the dining tables. We welcome any/all suggestions by owners.
Interior shutters have now been installed in most of the units, replacing curtains in both the front of the units and in the back bedrooms. The completion of the shutter installation for the remaining units was delayed. Our new expectation date for shutter installation of the remaining units is mid-February.The amendment to our by-laws, which allows JRC to continue our current timeshare status past the year 2020 is close to being ratified. Please, as you come to JRC, if you have not registered your vote regarding the 2020 by-law change, please do so.
